Individual Nutritional Counseling

At Angela Counseling, we approach nutrition in a holistic manner. While each of us has similar needs and there are some commonalities that can be applied to each of us, there is not a one size fits all solution. Each of us has different needs, preferences, and abilities. Many factors should be considered when helping individuals make dietary changes. Factors such as age, health conditions, physical ability, work requirements, family dynamics, medical history, and personal likes and dislikes all need to be considered. Our aspiration is to help individuals make changes that are realistic and can be incorporated life-long. In order to help you learn make changes, we take a wellness-based and strengths-based counseling approach for nutritional issues. It is important for you to understand that you are already doing many things right! We work with you to help you first recognize those strengths, and then we focus on where change needs to take place. This approach works extremely well for individuals who need to make changes due to weight management issues, diabetes, PCOS, hypertension (blood pressure), hypercholesterolemia (high cholesterol), irritable bowel syndrome, celiac disease or other health conditions
