Originally from the United States, she began her practice in Lahore in 2009 and worked primarily at Contours Obesity Management Centre, Mid-City Hospital, United Christian Hospital, and Lahore Medical Complex. Using her clinical nutrition background, Angela-Marie was a visiting nutritionist for the Pakistan Cricket Board in 2012-2013 and conducted a number of counseling sessions and seminars for both the women’s and men’s teams. Up until the COVID-19 lockdown in March of 2020, she had continued to look after the nutritional needs of the players at Yuslim Cricket Club. When the COVID-19 pandemic began, Angela transitioned her practice online. She still continues to work with individuals online via Zoom, and in September of 2021, she relocated her physical practice to Islamabad first at Avicenna Clinic, and now at Mumtaz Medical and Dental Complex. The one thing that sets Angela-Marie Sadiqua apart from others, is she knows from first-hand experience just how difficult change on any level can be, but especially how difficult it truly is to change one’s dietary and lifestyle habits. The need to deal with her own health issues and morbid obesity is what encouraged Angela to obtain her clinical nutrition certification, and then begin to study the concepts of holistic wellness. Now, she is helping others learn how not only to eat healthily and how to use food to assist in the management of disease, but also how to achieve self-acceptance and overcome many of the obstacles that must be dealt with along their path toward overall wellness.

Currently, Angela-Marie is finishing her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counselling at the University of the Cumberlands. Additionally, she holds BS degrees in Education, Psychology, and Public Affairs from Indiana University, Clinical Nutrition Certification from Stonebridge Associated Colleges, and has taken several nutritional psychology courses from JFK University.
